Our Journey
From Hobby to Business
The roots of Black Patch Performance trace back to Cole Williams' high school years. What started as a hobby of buying, fixing up, and selling trucks soon evolved into a deeper passion. Cole loved transforming trucks with new wheels, tires, lift kits, and bumpers. However, as the market for used trucks became more competitive and the ease of finding parts dwindled, he saw a unique opportunity.
Establishing the Brand
In 2018, Cole decided to take his passion to the next level by founding Black Patch Performance. Initially run from the family dairy farm, the business operated during evening hours while Cole maintained a full-time job. Despite the unconventional hours, the demand was evident, and by April 2019, after returning from his honeymoon, Cole made the bold decision to pursue the business full-time.

Building a Legacy
The early days were filled with long hours and countless challenges. Cole dedicated himself to learning the ins and outs of the business, often working 12+ hour days. For nearly three years, he managed everything on his own. Today, Black Patch Performance operates with a small but mighty team, defying the perception that a larger team is needed to deliver exceptional service.
The Meaning Behind the Name
The name "Black Patch Performance" is a tribute to Cole's family heritage. For 40 years, the Williams family ran Williams Dairy, known for its "Black Patch" Holsteins. After the dairy closed in 2016, Cole wanted to honor this legacy. The name and the unique logo, featuring a skull with an eye patch, symbolize both the family's history and the bold, adventurous spirit of the business.
